Best Ways To Quit Smoking

Are you looking for the best ways to quit smoking? As you know, smoking is tough to quit. In fact it’s probably easier to eat applesauce with chopsticks than kicking the nicotine addiction.

I know first hand. I tried to stop my cigarette addiction no more than 10 times until I found something that really worked for me. I can now proudly say I am over the dirty habit. No more smelling bad, no more worried about bad breath and best of all — no more sneaking out at night in the cold to grab a quick puff or two. Wow, I suffered some cold weather to get my fill. It makes me laugh now.

Anyway, here are the methods I tried:

My first attempt consisted of supplements. I took pill after pill but the craving never went away. In fact, before I stopped popping pills I realized I had dropped close to $1,000 and still had a strong urge to smoke.

I then decided to move onto the patches. The patches did seem to help for a while, but every time I tried no nicotine at all, I went back to smoking as the withdrawals were just overwhelming.

With each failure I seemed to have less hope that I would be able to kick the habit.

I then decided to try a little battery operated gadget that looks like a cigarette. You inhale a little nicotine with each puff. It’s a neat little gadget but when it came to quitting all together it just didn’t work for me. Once again, the addiction was just too strong.

I could drone on and on about the stop smoking treatments I tried. Yes, even hypnosis was among them. But none of them worked for me. I also could give you a million reasons to quit smoking. I know I had enough reasons. But it is just so darn hard to do and even the best reasons don’t make the quitting any easier.

In my short little article here, I have just covered a few of the best ways to quit smoking. Of course, each person will have a different result so what you consider best may be different than what I consider best. Make sense?
