Stop Smoking Remedies, Herbal Smoking Cessation

It is amazing, isn’t it, that we live in an age where so many of our maladies and physical problems can be fixed or even addressed with a simple pill.  Have a cold?  Take a pill.  Need some vitamins?  Take a pill.  Don’t want to get pregnant?  Take a pill.

With so many simple remedies available in pill form today, some may wonder if there really is an effective quit smoking pill that’s available, affordable, and that really will work.

One thing about all of the ways to stop smoking available is that if the smoker is not ready to give up their habit, none of them are going to work. Not even the quit smoking medication will deliver the desired effect if the smoker is not ready to quit. The quit smoking medication is not necessarily the end all pill for pulling the plug on the smoking habit but how it approaches the habit is different from many of the replacement therapy products on the market.

The normal course runs for over 8 to 12 weeks. Individuals who stop too soon or who take the pill intermittently will not get the benefit from the treatment since its effect is accumulative.  Stop smoking pills typically come with strict instructions on their use, and these instructions should be followed to the letter.

The pill should be taken for at least a week during which you should continue to smoke.  You should plan to quit smoking during the second week.  If you have not stopped smoking by the seventh week of Zyban therapy, it is unlikely that you will quit during that attempt and Zyban therapy should be discontinued.

This form of stop smoking pill is only available with a prescription, and does have some side effects which your doctor will outline for you.

For others, the best quit smoking pill may be the amount of money they can save and use for other things that they currently spend on tobacco products. Regardless of the method used, the end result of spending less to support a habit and possibly adding a few years to life, may be the best quit smoking medication available to everyone.
